Bhagwati Seva Pooja

During the Bhagwati Seva Pooja, you will perform a number of rituals to please the goddess. Among these are 'Prasanna' or pleasing the Devi with prayers, and 'Kalpana', or visualization.

'Kalpana' means visualization

Bhagwati Seva Pooja, or devotion to the goddess, is performed as a means of strengthening the Bhavana, which are the good traits and habits of the individual. During the 'Kalpana' pooja, the priest visualizes and invokes the goddess according to the Dhyana Sloka. He invokes the goddess by starting the invocation from the Mooladhara Chakra and bringing Her through the Sahasrara Padma. He also uses flowers to bring Devi, as these flowers are symbols of the ether principle and Akasha tatwa, the ether principle.

'Kum-kum' is blessed in 'Bhagwati seva pooja'

The blessing of 'Kum-kum' is an important part of the Bhagwati seva Pooja. It is a symbol of prosperity and auspiciousness. This is a solemn and sacred ritual performed every year.

The name 'Kum-Kum' means sweet water' in the Vedic language. It is also the name for the coconut which is blessed in the Bhagwati seva Pooja. This sweet water is said to purify the body of the devotee and make him pious. Kum-Kum has also blessed in Bhagwati karma Seva Pooja.
